Arch Studio 1.5.0

The open-source Arch Studio 1.5.0 for local installation in Codex and Claude Code, with the same content as the hosted Arch Studio 1.5. Every skill is a complete specification that your assistant performs with its own tools; no bundled script runs and nothing needs installing beyond the plugin. It adds fifteen skills, original-source navigation and CSV project registers.

  • Workflows run in your assistant. Each skill specifies outcomes, schemas, formulas, preservation and evidence, and Claude Code or Codex performs the work with the tools it already has. No skill step points at a script; helper modules stay in the source as maintainer tooling.
  • Fifteen new skills, for 61 in total: product-library, product-audit, product-cut-sheet, product-url-clip, spec-book, drawing-quantity-extract, schedule-quantity-reconcile and lighting-report-extract for FF&E and specification; agreement, proposal and invoice for firm operations; receive for document registration, identity and revision history; norma and norma-support for coordination across the skill owners; and architecture-knowledge.
  • Original-source navigation: corpus/ indexes codes, standards and reference datasets by geography and topic with identity, publisher, URL and edition only. The applicable original is retrieved for interpretation; local summaries and rule tables are removed.
  • A document model: register schemas under schema/, studio document templates with metric and imperial page sizes, and one document design contract.
  • Agent roles carry host contracts. Each of the 8 bundled agents declares the host tools it needs in a sidecar file; rules/moments.md states when studio and project records are consulted.
  • Included in this release: one plugin, as, with a shared catalog of 61 skills for Codex and Claude Code. Claude Code also loads 8 agent roles, 8 rules and 4 hooks; Codex loads one ambient hook.
  • Evaluation, 2026-09-24: Arch Studio 1.5 against 1.4.5 on three project-record tasks: a task register update, a superseding decision and an FF&E schedule revision. Each version worked on the same project in its own record format, with Claude Haiku 4.5, Sonnet 5 and Opus 5.5, with and without prior examples in the project, 3 runs per cell. A conformance checker graded each run on the checks both versions require.
  • Requests completed with correct records in a single turn: 22 of 54 with 1.4.5, 44 of 54 with 1.5. By model, 1.4.5 to 1.5: Opus 6/18 to 17/18, Sonnet 7/18 to 16/18, Haiku 9/18 to 11/18.
  • Why: 1.4.5 stops to ask for confirmation before writing (22 of 54 runs, all on Sonnet and Opus); 1.5 completes without a reply. When 1.4.5 wrote, its records were as correct as 1.5's.
  • Opus 5.5 on a project with no prior examples: Arch Studio 9/9, a 167-word rules paragraph 6/9, no plugin 2/9.
  • Claude Code native agents, rules and hooks are not available on Codex.
  • Workflows that previously called a script now run a native inspect, prepare, verify and apply sequence and take more turns for the same output; in the release evaluation, the CSV-to-SIF conversion used three to four times the turns of 1.4.5 for an identical file.
  • Existing 1.4.x studio and project workspaces are not converted. This release is forward-only and ships no converter.
  • In the 2026-09-24 evaluation, the 1.5 gain is completing requests unattended, not more correct records. With one “Yes, go ahead.” reply, 1.4.5 completed 19 of 19 measured runs; 6 Opus runs without examples and 2 Sonnet runs were not measured. The evaluation used the open-source plugin in Claude Code on one staged project, 3 runs per cell; the MCP was not measured.
  • New studios and projects use DOCUMENTS.csv, CHANGES.csv, SCHEDULE.csv, TASKS.csv, TIME.csv and INVOICES.csv in place of the 1.4.x TASKS.md and TIMELOG.md. Keep an existing workspace on 1.4.5 until it is set up again with 1.5.
  • Install the plugin or connect the hosted MCP, not both: the MCP delivers the same instructions and has no access to local files, and this plugin ships no MCP server entry.
  • Codex: codex plugin marketplace add AlpacaLabsLLC/skills-for-architects, then codex plugin add as@skills-for-architects.
  • Claude Code: claude plugin marketplace add AlpacaLabsLLC/skills-for-architects, then claude plugin install as@skills-for-architects.
