Work plans

Turn a goal into a clear sequence of work.

What it does

Tell Norma the goal, constraints and current project context. Norma prepares a plan with outputs, dependencies and checks. You review the approach; a request to plan does not start implementation.

Install

Connect Arch Studio in Claude or ChatGPT, then return to your conversation and ask Norma for the task. Your assistant uses its available file access and tools to carry out the skill.

Versions and source

Arch Studio 1.5.1.2 · MCP

Available as MCP workflow instructions in compatible Claude and ChatGPT connections. The assistant performs the work with its own tools and permissions and verifies the actual result before reporting completion.

Arch Studio 1.5.1.2 · Open source

Included in the public plugin for Claude Code and Codex. In this version: Work plans — Define scope, sequence, dependencies and checks in a durable plan for project delivery.

Usage

Ask Norma in plain language. With Arch Studio connected through MCP, no $ or / command is required. Norma is your assistant working with Arch Studio.

Use Arch Studio to plan a two-week finish-selection review for our office project. We have a brief and an initial materials list. Propose the work sequence, role owners, dependencies and checks needed for a client decision at the end of week two. Flag missing inputs. Prepare the plan for review; do not start the research or assign tasks yet.

The full catalog lives in your assistant once Arch Studio is connected. Ask: Norma, what can you do? List the skills, tools, agents and workflows available in this host, grouped by practice area.

What the plan includes

Outcome and scope

Norma states what the work needs to achieve and distinguishes facts from assumptions.

Work units

Norma breaks the work into concrete outputs with proposed owners and dependencies.

Acceptance checks

Norma identifies the evidence needed to know when each unit is done, along with risks and open questions.

Continuity

Norma keeps a short plan in the conversation or saves a durable project plan when requested or useful for continuity.

Workflow

  1. Read — Norma reads enough current evidence to make the plan reliable.
  2. Plan — Norma proposes the work sequence, outputs, dependencies and checks.
  3. Review — You review the plan and authorize implementation when you want the work to start.
  4. Carry forward — Norma verifies any requested saved plan and links later revisions to the earlier record.

Pairs with

Task registers. Norma can carry selected, approved work units into tasks with owners and dates.
