SIF to CSV

Turn a dealer-system SIF file into a readable product schedule.

What it does

Give Norma a SIF file and its originating format specification. Norma parses the records into CSV while retaining product identities, options and price meaning, and reports anything the mapping cannot preserve.

Install

Connect Arch Studio in Claude or ChatGPT, then return to your conversation and ask Norma for the task. Your assistant uses its available file access and tools to carry out the skill.

Versions and source

Arch Studio 1.5.1.2 · MCP

Available as MCP workflow instructions in compatible Claude and ChatGPT connections. The assistant performs the work with its own tools and permissions and verifies the actual result before reporting completion.

Arch Studio 1.5.1.2 · Open source

Included in the public plugin for Claude Code and Codex. In this version: SIF to CSV — Preview dealer SIF data and optionally add converted products to your CSV library.

Usage

Ask Norma in plain language. With Arch Studio connected through MCP, no $ or / command is required. Norma is your assistant working with Arch Studio.

Use Arch Studio to convert this SIF file to CSV using its supplied format specification. Preserve product codes and repeated options. Keep list price, discounts and sell price separate, and report fields that cannot be mapped.

The full catalog lives in your assistant once Arch Studio is connected. Ask: Norma, what can you do? List the skills, tools, agents and workflows available in this host, grouped by practice area.

What it extracts

Record membership

Norma retains the selected records and exact product identities from the supplied file.

Options and attributes

Norma preserves repeated options rather than keeping only the last occurrence.

Prices and quantities

Norma keeps list price, discounts, sell price, currency and quantity separate according to the verified source format.

Workflow

  1. Identify — Norma reads the source format, version and encoding.
  2. Parse — Norma extracts the records and previews the proposed CSV mapping.
  3. Verify — Norma creates the CSV and compares the reopened file with the source records.

Pairs with

Import product data. Norma can use the converted rows as inputs to a reviewed FF&E schedule.
