# Arch Studio 1.4.4

> A hotfix for Claude Code hook compatibility: hooks no longer block ordinary work when a JSON decoder is missing or a payload is malformed.

## What’s new

- Fix: hook payload decoding fails open when neither jq nor Python is available, or when a payload is malformed, so ordinary Bash, Write and Edit operations continue. Confirmed malformed CSI sections and missing required disclaimers still block.
- Hook compatibility tests now cover jq-only, Python-only and no-decoder environments, invalid and malformed payloads, awkward file paths, compound commit commands and confirmed enforcement findings.

## Upgrade and migration

- Upgrading from 1.4.3 requires no migration.
