## What’s new

- Fix: scripts/lint.sh and scripts/check-plugin-namespace.py read repository files as UTF-8 and force UTF-8 output for the Python processes they start. This fixes Unicode decode and encode failures under Windows cp1252 defaults without changing Linux or macOS behavior.
