# Docs: MCP connector and local plugin

> Connect agents to Architecture Studio using MCP, discover permissions, and retrieve workflow instructions and references.

## Understand the framework

Start with the four pillars, then explore the skills. Studio, Knowledge, Tooling and Memory describe the framework; MCP and the plugin are delivery options.

## Start here

Architecture Studio exposes its supported release through Streamable HTTP MCP at https://mcp.architecturestudio.ai/. Use a compatible client and OAuth authorization. Public documentation requires no account; tool execution and MCP discovery remain authenticated.

## Content for agents

Request text/markdown with the Accept header on public content pages, or append .md to retrieve the Markdown version. The homepage alternative is /index.md. Representations use Vary: Accept so caches can distinguish HTML and Markdown. Missing pages return a real 404 and Markdown requests include recovery links.

## Choose your setup

Compare the hosted MCP and open-source plugin before choosing an installation path.
